Recap: Mother Earth News Fair 2016 Belton, TX

The School of Woodworking recently attended the Mother Earth News Fair held in Belton, TX (Feb 20-21).  Over 10,000 people passed through the Bell County Expo Center during the activity-filled weekend that featured over 150 vendors from across the country.  The lectures, workshops and demonstration areas were packed full throughout the day, and it quickly became evident that central Texans are very interested in a broad range of  sustainability issues and quite drawn to learning about fine craftsmanship.  Thanks to all those who came out and contributed to what was a very enjoyable weekend.  We look forward to seeing many of you again in the coming year.

If there was any downside at all to attending the Mother Earth News Fair, it is that the School of Woodworking will not be able to attend ‘The Woodworking Show’ in Houston this coming weekend.  Our apologies to the many friends who visit us there every year.  We hope to be back again next year.

Please note however, that the School of Woodworking will be returning to the Houston area for the Lie-Nielsen Hand Tool Show on April 29-30, 2016.
