Sewing & Quilting

Sewn items are something that we all use every day — from bedding to clothing. In our classes, you’ll learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine. You’ll also learn sewing and construction techniques that are useful for garment-making, quilt-making and other projects. After completing our sewing classes, you will be able to sew simple skirts, a simple quilt and a number of other simple projects. You’ll also be able to blindhem on a sewing machine, insert a zipper and make buttonholes.

In our sewing classes, you will get lots of hands-on instruction. We keep class sizes small, which ensures that each student will get plenty of help from the instructor(s).
