Walnut Trestle Table (6-day)

Following a traditional design, this trestle coffee table incorporates the unusual feature of a dovetailed apron which supports the tabletop and gives visual solidity to the overall design. Made from solid walnut or cherry, the table has several mortise-and-tenon joints that connect the uprights to the apron and feet and through tenons connecting the arched transom rail which tie all the components into a distinctive yet practical heirloom piece. The dimensions of this table are 24″ wide by 42″ long by 20″ tall.

Following this design, you can easily take the skills learned in this course and apply them to build a dining table in the same style at your own shop.
