The weavers of Skane in southern Sweden have always been known for their beautiful art weaves. Internationally known weaving instructor Joanne Hall will be teaching a four-day Art Weave workshop here at Fiber Crafts featuring Halvkrabba, Krabba, Rolaken, Dukagang and Monks Belt. We will be weaving on prewarped four-shaft looms using heddle rods and tapestry techniques. Learn the history of these colorful weaves while incorporating their designs into cloth that can be made into a purse or pillow.
We will have a home-cooked meal Wednesday through Friday evening for any student who would like to be included. Please call Fiber Crafts (254) 300-2436 to reserve a meal. (It will cost $12 per meal or $36 extra for all three meals.)
The materials fee for this class will be figured at the end of the class.
Prerequisite: Some experience weaving on a floor loom
This class is from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
