I bought a brother LS 2125 for my daughter. It only has one button for changing the stitches. What do you suggest we do on the sampler?

Cindy O. ,
Since your machine has preset settings and doesn't allow for any variation, please adapt the sampler to what your machine can do. The purpose of this sampler is for you to know how to adjust your machine and become familiar with using it. I suggest that you sew the straight stitch rows with the variety of stitch lengths that your machine allows. Then on the zigag section, practice the different zigzag settings on your machine. Be sure to practice the good sewing habits as you sew. The straight and zigzag stitch settings are the only adjustments needed to sew the projects in this course, but you could also practice sewing with any other stitch features that your machine has. Refer to the manual that came with your sewing machine for any other particulars. Cindy

Practice pieces like the one used in the video are available from Simply Fabrics at 254-829-7119. The pattern, which you can print from under the Resources tab, consists mainly of straight lines, so you can also measure those lines and transfer them to a piece of fabric using a fabric marking pen. You can also practice on striped fabric.
