Our current woodworking shop is a rectangular building partitioned into two areas. One area is fitted for hand tool woodworking and instruction. The other section contains power tools for milling and rough stock removal.
The demand for woodworking classes has begun to exceed our available classroom space. We also need more space to continue providing workshops for children in our community.
We plan to build a 1,500-square-foot addition onto the woodworking shop to house all the machine tools. Doing so will let us convert all of the main woodworking shop into a teaching facility.
We plan to build the addition, using volunteer help as much as possible, but we need your help to raise $35,000 for materials and supplies. Thus far, through generous contributions, we have raised $15,000 toward our goal.
