The Ploughshare Institute is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, supported by tuition from our students, the sale of books, kits and other items related to our classes and the generous contributions of our donors.
Donations are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law.

Contribute for Free Using the Amazon Smile Program
Ploughshare is part of the Amazon Smile program. With this program, Amazon will donate a small portion of each Amazon purchase to the charity of your choice, with no additional cost to you.
If you would like to participate, please follow the instructions below.
How to Use Amazon Smile
- Visit smile.amazon.com.
- Enter “The Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture” in the search box and click Search.
- Click Select next to The Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture (Elm Mott, TX). This will set Ploughshare as the charity to which your contributions will be donated.
- Click “Yes, I understand that …” and click Start Shopping.
- Now that you have set up Amazon Smile, whenever you shop at Amazon, first click the “Amazon Smile” link or visit smile.amazon.com. Then any purchases that you make using smile.amazon.com will cause a small contribution to be made to The Ploughshare at no additional cost to you.
