Say Cheese! Easy Homemade Cheese for Everyone
Join us at Brazos Valley Cheese for a hands-on, three-hour beginner cheese making class where you’ll learn just how simple and rewarding homemade cheese can be. In this fun, collaborative experience, we’ll team up to create fresh batches of cottage cheese, feta and beautiful herbed cheese logs from scratch.
Whether you’re brand new to cheese making or simply curious about crafting your own dairy delights, this class is designed to be approachable, educational and absolutely delicious. Everyone will make and take home their own cheese,
What We’ll Make:
Cottage Cheese: Cottage cheese has been taking social media by storm—and for good reason. It’s a high-protein, nutrient-packed favorite that you can make in just 45 minutes. The texture and flavor of homemade cottage cheese are completely different from anything store-bought: creamier, fresher, and far more satisfying.
Feta: A classic standby, feta is bold, tangy, and incredibly versatile. You’ll learn the foundational techniques behind this beloved cheese and gain the confidence to recreate it at home.
Herbed Cheese Logs: These elegant, flavorful logs are perfect for everything from a simple lunch to entertaining guests. We’ll blend fresh herbs and seasonings to create a beautiful, spreadable cheese that’s as impressive as it is easy.
A Delicious Mid-Class Break
Halfway through class, we’ll pause to enjoy our creations served with fresh bread from a local bakery. It’s the perfect opportunity to taste what you’ve made, ask questions, and connect with fellow cheese lovers.

Starting in May 2025, these classes will be taught at our
Brazos Valley Cheese Shop at 230 Halbert Lane, Waco, Texas.
This is a Half-Day class from 9 a.m – 12:00 p.m.
All our classes close 24 hours before the class date with the exception of classes that start on Monday, which will close the Friday before. If there’s a class that closed early that you’d like to attend, please call us at 254-754-9620 to check for availability.
